Final Report: 11-28-24

The Chikudzo Village Development Committee, in collaboration with Mudzi Connect, has brought transformative change to Nankhanga Primary School in Traditional Authority Msakambewa through the construction of a two-room classroom block. Funded by a $9,835.73 World Connect co-investment, this initiative has elevated the school from a Junior Primary to a Full Primary School, addressing long-standing challenges in access to education. A total of 162 students in Standards 5 and 6 (84 girls and 78 boys)no longer have to walk 5 kilometres to attend classes at the nearest school thanks to this project. Additionally, the entire student body of 512 learners (286 boys and 226 girls) gains from the new classrooms, which are used for various school activities, including club meetings. This development extends its impact beyond the school, offering a convenient venue for community activities such as women’s group meetings, youth clubs, and political or religious gatherings, solidifying its role as a hub for education and community engagement.
