Miyove Adolescent Girls' Menstrual Hygiene Management
Project Launch: 8-15-17
In poverty stricken settings, the management of menstruation is often difficult and a cause of shame. For girls in Miyove, menstruation is often a reason for missing school. Additionally, discussing about menstruation is taboo and often results in misperceptions. By educating girls about their menstrual health and bringing dignity to the management of menstruation, girls can be empowered, increasing productivity, educational opportunity, and self-sufficiency.
