Gasanane Fun Lot
Project Launch:
Banda, one of Rwanda's most undeveloped but densely populated villages, is on the periphery of Nyungwe Forest National Park. Gasanane Primary School in Banda Village serves around 400 children and lacked any sort of sports or recreational facility for the children. With a $500 grant from World Connect's Kids to Kids Program in 2011, the school purchased an adjacent piece of land covered with banana trees to turn the unused lot into the Gasanane Fun Lot, a playground for kids.
