Future Business Leaders
Project Launch:
The secondary school in Jequetepeque, Peru is working with World Connect to provide an innovative business education opportunity for its students. Teachers will launch an entrepreneurship class for 15 of the school's brightest students where they will learn the basics of business, accounting and marketing. The students will also be trained to make jewelry from pearls found locally and from recycled materials. Students will utilize the lessons learned from their entrepreneurship class to build a sustainable, student-run business at the school. As the jewelry business grows, more students will be encouraged to join the team.
