A  $5,410.00 grant from World Connect will be used by community members to implement a fish and pigs farming project in Munini village, Musange Sector, Nyamagabe District. Fish ponds and pig houses will be constructed and fish as well as pigs installed in them. Due to poverty, this community experiences various socio-economic challenges such as hunger, school drop out, high unemployment rate especially women and girls, early marriages and pregnancies. This project will provide  jobs to the women and girls and increased members will have access to money which will facilitate them to buy school materials for their children and eradicate school dropout, early marriage and pregnancies. This project will also contribute to increasing agricultural production because the pig manure will also be used in agriculture. Increased crop produce from use of pig manure and availability of fish in the community will reduce malnutrition among the households of the participants.
