Empowering mothers of children with intellectual disability in mushroom farming
Project Launch: 3-28-24
This project seeks to support a group of 18 mothers of children with disability to start mushroom farming so as to improve their household's nutrition through supplementing mushrooms on their family diet as well as earning income from the sale of surplus mushrooms to the market. The women will be supported by a local organisation Izere mubyeyi which supports children with disabilities. They will be trained in ushroom farming and they will construct a green house for muchroom farming.
