Antenatal Care 4 All
Project Launch: 6-29-18
Antenatal Care 4 All is designed to engage women living in remote and hard-to-reach communities in Northeastern Nigeria, many of whom are internally displaced persons (IDPs) and victims of the Boko Haram insurgency. In order to reduce maternal mortality which is extremely high in this region, the campaign will educate and sensitize participants about the free medical care available to them in order to facilitate safer childbirths as well as the key role of antenatal clinics to improve the quality of their pregnancies. Delivery kits will also be provided for upcoming births as a way of encouraging participants to spread the message to other mothers who may be unaware of the services available to them.
