Lifesaving Kits Project
Project Launch: 12-31-19
The Lifesaving Kit Project is designed to locally develop, assemble, and distribute a single-use disposable delivery kit in low resource health facilities and rural communities to ensure clean and safe delivery. The activities of this project include distributing 300 birth kits and training 50 birth attendants in 3 villages in Kabri community. Members of the Rural Health Mission Nigeria are going to conduct a day training for birth attendants on clean delivery practice, skilled delivery and using the birth kits. Birth attendants and health facilities will facilitate the distribution of the kits and hold a town hall meeting with community members to educate them on clean birth practices and introduction of birth kits for delivery including home deliveries.
